Every August (well…most!) I attend the University Film and Video Association Conference. Each year a different school hosts, and I’m in the thick of the conference now at  Columbia College in Chicago. I can’t fully express how important this group has been for my professional development. I’ve been encouraged, motivated, and challenged by the members. I’ve met mentors, collaborators, and many friends over the years. UFVA is like summer camp for the cool professors. I love it!
