The Defenders is gimmicky in a way that is both formulaic and cheesy.  There is something, too, that feels a little cheap about the production.  I’m not talking about the character of the characters (though there is that) but the fact that this looks a little like a 1980s TV show.  Yawn. (CBS Wednesdays 10:00 p.m.)

Outsourced is a little more promising, though I’m not promising it will develop into something I’ll continue to watch.  I think I’ll give it another week or two, however, to see how the sitcom progresses.  (NBC Thursdays 9:30 p.m.)
