Movie ticket prices are up, but interest in 3D is down.  Boo, hiss.  And, I told you so.

I have long predicted that interest in 3D would not match industry expectations.  Too many people don’t enjoy the experience, and too many films are not enhanced by the process.

I seldom choose to see a film in 3D or to partake of “The IMAX Experience.”  Last film I saw that was truly enhanced by 3D?  Cave of Forgotten Dreams.  Sometimes the process is an enhancement instead of a distraction, but that is not typically my experience.
